Yéle prepared and distributed 700 family food kits from January 24th to 26th as part of our ongoing food distribution program. Yéle’s family food kit includes rice, cornmeal, oatmeal, coffee, chocolate, pasta, tomato paste, hot sauce, peanut butter, kidney beans, peas, oil, canned sardines, powered milk, white sugar, brown sugar and salt.

Having run the family food kit pilot for three days, Yele is now making plans for the large scale procurement, packaging and delivery of these kits on an ongoing basis in rural and urban areas.
